Daily Arsenal Transfer Update: Viktor Gyökeres updates to Partey’s uncertain future and a surprise name in the striker search.

Arsenal Gain Edge in Striker Pursuit as Gyökeres Rules Out Man United Switch; Bayern Enter Sesko Race

Arsenal appear to have a clearer path to signing Viktor Gyökeres after the Swedish forward reportedly ruled out a move to Manchester United this summer. Meanwhile, competition for Benjamin Sesko is heating up, with Bayern Munich now joining the race for the highly-rated RB Leipzig striker.

The Gunners are actively searching for a new centre-forward, with both Gyökeres and Sesko high on their shortlist. After standout seasons for their respective clubs, both strikers are widely expected to move this summer for comparable fees.

There has been growing speculation about which of the two Arsenal would prioritize, but recent developments may provide some clarity. Portuguese outlet Record claims that Gyökeres’ camp has informed Manchester United that the 27-year-old has no intention of joining them, despite their interest and the presence of his current manager, Rúben Amorim, in the conversation for United's dugout earlier in the season.

With United seemingly stepping back, Arsenal could now make progress without direct Premier League competition. Reports suggest that the North London side are even preparing a fresh offer to tempt Sporting CP into a deal for the Sweden international.

However, things may not be as straightforward regarding Sesko. The 22-year-old, who was closely linked with Arsenal last summer before renewing his contract with Leipzig, is now attracting serious attention from Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga giants reportedly view him as a long-term heir to Harry Kane and are expected to make a strong push to secure his signature.

Gabriel Endorses Rodrygo Move to Arsenal: “He’s a Phenomenon”

Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhães has publicly praised Brazil teammate Rodrygo, calling him a “phenomenon” and expressing his desire to see the Real Madrid star at the Emirates.

Rodrygo has been linked with a potential move away from the Bernabéu amid speculation that Madrid may be open to offers this summer. Speaking on the Podpah podcast in Brazil, Gabriel said he isn’t sure if a move will happen, but he’d welcome the winger with open arms.

“I don’t know if he’s coming to Arsenal,” Gabriel admitted. “I’d like him to, but who knows? Rodrygo is a phenomenon. Everyone is talking about him. If it were up to me, of course [I’d want him here].”

Alongside Rodrygo, Arsenal are also keeping tabs on Athletic Club winger Nico Williams as they explore options to bolster their wide attacking areas.

Partey Leaves Future in Arsenal’s Hands

Thomas Partey has suggested he’s open to extending his stay at Arsenal but emphasized that the final decision lies with the club and his representatives.

The Ghanaian midfielder is entering the final stages of his contract and has faced growing uncertainty regarding his future. Manager Mikel Arteta has publicly expressed a desire to keep the experienced midfielder at the club, and negotiations are said to be ongoing.

Speaking to Ghana’s TV3, Partey highlighted the importance of stability, especially for his family, hinting he’d be happy to remain at Arsenal.

"The most important thing is where you feel happy and at home. There’s also your family to consider,” he said. “When you're younger, you can move freely. But now, I can’t decide anything. It’s up to my agent and the club. I just want to enjoy my football.”

With Jorginho already departing to join Flamengo and Martin Zubimendi expected to arrive from Real Sociedad for around £51 million, Arsenal may need to make another midfield signing if Partey also departs.

AC Milan Monitor Zinchenko as Potential Hernandez Replacement

According to Sky Italia, AC Milan are exploring the possibility of signing Oleksandr Zinchenko from Arsenal. The Ukrainian international has one year left on his contract, and his wages could be a sticking point in any negotiations.

Milan are planning for the potential exit of Theo Hernandez, who is attracting strong interest from Atlético Madrid. Zinchenko, who joined Arsenal from Manchester City in a £32 million move in 2022, has seen his minutes reduced this season, partly due to the emergence of youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly.

The 28-year-old also drew interest from Borussia Dortmund and Atlético during the January window, making a summer move a real possibility.

Nico Williams Favors Bayern Switch Amid Arsenal Interest

Sky Sports Deutschland reports that Bayern Munich have held talks with Nico Williams' representatives, and the 22-year-old winger has expressed his preference for a move to Bavaria. He is reportedly seeking a salary in the region of €20 million annually, and his release clause sits between €60-65 million.

Though Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola is another option for Bayern, securing a deal is considered challenging. Meanwhile, Marca claims Athletic Club are preparing a lucrative new offer in a bid to convince Williams to remain in Bilbao.

Arsenal Eyeing Julián Álvarez as Alternative Striker Option

As Arsenal’s efforts to land either Sesko or Gyökeres continue to stall, the club is reportedly considering a move for Atlético Madrid striker Julián Álvarez, according to The Sun.

Álvarez, 25, impressed last season in LaLiga, netting 17 goals and contributing four assists in 37 appearances. With Arsenal eager to reinforce their frontline, the Argentine has emerged as a possible "Plan C" option. Eintracht Frankfurt's Hugo Ekitike is also on the Gunners' radar.

Arsenal Transfer News Round-Up: Elanga Links, Tierney’s Farewell & Forward Chase Heats Up

As the summer transfer window picks up pace, Arsenal find themselves at the heart of several major story lines—ranging from high-profile targets and emotional goodbyes to battles with European giants over key signings. Here's a complete breakdown of the latest developments involving the Gunners.

Arsenal Eyeing £60M Move for Elanga

Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga, with sources suggesting a potential transfer could cost the North London side around £60 million. The Swedish international, who impressed in the Premier League last season, is seen as a dynamic option for Mikel Arteta’s attacking setup. However, the steep asking price may require further negotiation

Sane Off the Market as He Joins Galatasaray

In a blow to both Arsenal and Spurs, Leroy Sané has opted for a new chapter in Turkey after departing Bayern Munich. The German winger has signed a three-year deal with Galatasaray, officially ending speculation about a Premier League return. Arsenal were previously linked, but missed out as Galatasaray swooped in quickly after his contract expired.

😢 Tierney Bids Emotional Farewell to Arsenal

After six eventful years at the Emirates, Kieran Tierney has officially returned to Celtic. In a heartfelt message on social media, the left-back thanked his teammates, coaches, and fans, saying:

"To be part of this special club for six years has meant so much to me... I appreciated everything and never took any of it for granted. North London forever."

The Scottish international’s departure marks the end of a memorable spell in North London, which some would say failed to leave up to expectations.

😲 Sesko Saga: Leipzig Hold Firm on Price

Arsenal’s pursuit of Benjamin Šeško has hit a potential roadblock. While initial expectations suggested the striker could be available for £60 million, RB Leipzig are now demanding closer to £70 million, which matches his release clause. With Saudi clubs entering the fray, Arsenal are wary of getting pulled into a bidding war and have yet to make a formal move.

Rodrygo Situation Opens Up for Arsenal

Arsenal may receive an unexpected boost in their interest in Rodrygo, with Real Madrid nearing the signing of 17-year-old Argentine sensation Franco Mastantuono. The teenager’s arrival could further limit Rodrygo’s role in Madrid, potentially opening the door for a summer switch. Though Liverpool and PSG are also monitoring the situation, Arsenal remain quietly hopeful.

Talks with AC Milan Over Defensive Duo

AC Milan have entered discussions with Arsenal about potential moves for Jakub Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko. Reports from Italy suggest Zinchenko could be available for under £13 million, due to his contract winding down and relatively high wages. Milan are exploring a structured deal to make the move financially viable.

Nico Williams in Bayern Talks Amid Arsenal Interest

In another potential blow to Arsenal’s winger search, Bayern Munich have opened discussions with Nico Williams, the Athletic Bilbao star. Reports indicate the player is keen on a move to Germany, although Bayern are still weighing options. PSG’s Bradley Barcola remains Bayern’s top target, but his transfer could be difficult due to PSG’s unwillingness to sell.

Arsenal and United to Duel for Gyökeres

Adding more fire to the transfer window, both Arsenal and Manchester United have now reportedly met with Gyökeres’ representatives. With no official bids tabled yet, formal offers from both Premier League sides are expected within hours, according to Portuguese media. Sporting’s stance remains firm, but interest is clearly heating up.
